For those few have been reading my posts, you know all about the concept of Hurkle-Durkling. In case you missed that post its a Scottish word for that time we lay around before our feet hit the floor and we start our day. I have embraced this concept and try to Hurkle-Durkle everyday. I usually do it before I get out of bed, but I found you can spend some quality time Hurkle-Durkling on the couch too. After all, can you really have a bad day when it starts out with something that sounds so fun?

I have to confess, though, that somedays I just have to much to do devote the time to a proper Hurkle-Durkle. Imagine my joy when a friend shared a post about Snerdle. To Snerdle is “to wrap up cozily beneath the covers and hold off the day a little longer.”

I know, I know. It doesn’t sound much different than to Hurkle-Durkle but my brain sees it differently. Hear me out. Hurkle-Durkling is weighty, it needs to have some real time devoted it. Snerdling is breezy, just a few minutes is all it needs. Oh you could Snerdle longer, but honestly, if you Snerdle for too long aren’t you really Hurkle-Durkling?

If you life is too crazy to Hurkle-Durkle, may you least take a few minutes each day to Snerdle. You will be more relaxed and your day much brighter.
