I’ve never been a fan of Valentine’s Day. Don’t get me wrong, I’m all for love just not the commercial hype that surrounds February 14th. I’m always in awe of those couples that find their true soulmate, that one person in the world who compliments and completes them. Its amazing that in this world of around 8 billion people that their lives not only intersect but that they realize they belong together. I’ve known quite a few couple like this. I’m not saying their lives were picture perfect, but that together they were able to hold on to and support each other through thick and thin. They came out of each storm with an even stronger bond.
I know a lot of you aren’t still with us but thank you Mom & Dad, Bill & Aileen, Billy & Marg, Tony & Phyllis, and so many others for showing me how beautiful love and life are. Commercial hype and all – this day is for you! Happy Valentine’s Day.
